SOCIAL MEDIA IN ROMANIA – 2019

I’ve thought it might be interesting to show you some figures regarding the social media landscape in Romania. I think it clearly shows the fact that slowly most of the communication and interaction with the public is digital. So…any new and old business should switch as soon as possible to DIGITAL PR. I should add that the growth of the Facebook users in the last year in Romania is + 9.5%, and we have approx. 3.600 online media sources producing over 600.000 articles/ month. SECRET TIPS FOR A PERFECT EVENT MANAGEMENT

More and more the PR industry is relying on events to get a good part of the revenue. So, here are some tips I learned in my 15 years of doing event management:

– Create a Whatsapp group with all the people involved.

– Secure the venue and do the location navigation (know perfectly the place of the event);

– Hire the vendors (catering, drinks, entertainers)

– First aid (have in mind that larger the participation, greater odds to happen something with someone);

– Emergency exits;

– Noise (the local legal regulations for noise, the noises from the building etc);

– Dietary requirements;

– Time constraints;

– Licences (playing music, providing food for vendors and attendees, using public land, selling or providing alcohol);

– Create an event page;

– Put together a promotion strategy;

– Make a contingency plan (or two);

UNDERSTANDING OTHER PERSPECTIVES IS THE KEY FOR A PR STRATEGY THAT WORKS

Perspective is how we see the world, our own reality. It’s unique to ours and ours alone. But is our reality the only one that exists? Absolutely not. Every person has their own realities, whether it’s job positions or people in general. These positions and perspectives are based on our reality. In comm and PR every action shouldn’t be based solely on one perspective, the general public or the employees respectively. Perspective-seeking in PR is basically looking at things objectively rather than picking a side. Sometimes, you cannot see the reality because you are immersed in your singular perspective. There me or other PR pros must be call to see objectively and from multiple perspectives the situation and to find improvements and solutions.
